In it's second semester, the computer science club has become the new ACM chapter at Wilmington. Accepting the charter and name from the prior chapter on campus, the club has appointed Dr. Lucas Layman faculty mentor and has introducted a full slate of speakers and events for Fall 2024.

President Tyler Grimes held UNCW CSC’s first official meeting in the new club home, Congdon 1007. Following official approval from the Student Government Association to establish the club, members have assisted with recruitment efforts and coordinated to schedule events for the coming semester.
